The Story of a Photographer

In 2009, Jen began her photography journey capturing friends and family. She quickly fell in love with the tiniest humans. She spent years as a bedside nurse so she has the knack for caring for others and works towards excellence in all she does. She is a learner and a lover of people, nature, and details. Jen is married to her best friend, Jason (who she loved since the 3rd grade!) and has 4 children, 2 son in laws, 1 daughter in law and is a Grammy to 3 babies (soon to be 5 in 2024). This has been a change of season for her life as she slows down to focus heavily on family time and her business. In her downtime, you will find her reading about WWII or some historical fiction books, gardening (keeping up with her 10 acres of flowers, grass and lots of weeds, swimming with her community of friends at Pleasant View and serving as a Small Group Leader to high schoolers at LCBC or connecting with her favorite Ladies Small Group on Tuesday nights. Her and Jason love to spend time at their cabin in Lycoming Co. with their kids (and alone!) and their Doodles, Oakley and Sunny Girl. Sunday is their date night and you can find them exploring Lancaster's best restaurants.

Her faithful assistant and best friend Tammy (who is also a nurse!) loves caring for families and keeping newborn safe during their session. Together, they have captured over 2000 newborns in 14 years! Wow. That is a lot of tiny toes. She also has a few back up assistants with plenty of experience since babies come when they decide.

Jen is an award winning professional newborn photographer. Her clients book during their pregnancy to ensure they receive a spot on her due date calendar. Many of her clients return for their 2nd, 3rd, 4th and just this year...she hit the 5th newborn mark two times in one month. Her clients reviewed their experience as 'relaxing, nurturing, and spa-like.' She works to create an environment where parents can relax while she and Tammy safely capture those precious features of a newborn (who doesn't need a nap?).
